Director Surinder was sitting with Manikyam, Dhanalaxmi and Devyani.

Manikyam looked at Devyani and said, “Producers are troubling me so much. If I say ok, you will be busy for 5 years and get cores of rupees.”

Devyani said, “I am most satisfie now to see new life in your face. I am not interested in acting any more.”

She looked at Surinder.

Surinder said, “Devyani, I have no objection to your acting in films.”

Both Manikyam and Dhanalaxmi were surprised.

Devyani was shy. “I just want to marry Surinder and live happily as his wife.”

Manikyam and Dhanalaxmi were very happy.

Manikyam said, “Surinder, you are very lucky and our Devyani is also lucky. You are not just a director but also a yogic person.”

Dhanalaxmi said, “I will do kanyadana.”

Devyani thought of her father. “I want to ask my father.”

Manikyam nodded. “Fine.”

Devyani said, “There is a temple in the ashram. I want to bring papa. He will look after the temple.”

“In your jilla, the Jilla Parishad President’s post has been reserved for ladies. But even though you have missed the chance, your wife can easily apply for the post.”

Shivayya said coolly, “No problem. It need not be my wife. There are many good ladies in our jilla. We can choose from them.”

“Don’t say that. You should remain in party line. We want your wife to be the candidate.”

“Sir, I don’t have to be in any party to serve the people. Whether I am in a party or not, I will walk on Gandhi marg. Our organization members are doing a good job. I am satisfied.’

CM said, “The Jilla Parishad President’s post has been reserved for ladies. We have selected you as the candidate from our party.”

Laxmi said, “I have to ask my husband, sir.”

“We have not yet accepted your resignation from Mahiha Morcha. We have no plan to accept it either. If you become Jilla Parishad President, the jilla will develop like anything.”
