Groom arrives and marriage is fixed

The boy and his family come to see Devyani. Shastri was surprised to see the boy’s habits and culture. He thought, “We are lucky to get such a boy.”

The boy said, “Let us go to the temple.”

Shastri was very happy. He took them all to the temple. Shastri did puja and gave atri. The boy sat down for meditation.

Seeing this, Shastri had tears in his eyes. He folded his hands in front of god. “I hope he agrees to marry my daughter.”

Suddenly Shankaraiah approached Shastri. “Let us talk here itself.”

They all sat down to talk.

Shankaraiah asked, “What do you think of our boy?”

Shastri said happily, “My daughter must have done some good deed to get such a boy.”

“Our boy and others have agreed.”

Boy’s father said, “After seeing the girl and you, we will be most happy to join the two families. It is all the grace of god.”

Shastri looked at Shivayya who was a bit far away. “One minute, Shivayya.”

Shivayya and Laxmi come near.

Shastri said, “The boy likes our daughter.”

Shivayya and Laxmi said happily, “Very good.”

Suddenly the boy got up and came near them.

Shivayya said, “We will have the marriage where ever you want. I will give what ever you want.”

The boy laughed. “I may have agreed but you should ask the girl also.”

Shastri looked at him in surprise.

Laxmi said, “The girl agrees to all that we say.”

Shastri looked at her in surprise. He approached her and whispered. “Ask her.”

Laxmi whispered, “She agreed when she saw the photo itself.”

Shastri laughed.

Boy said, “We can have a simple marriage in this temple itself. Only around 20 people will come from our side. I am not very interested in what you give. I am already earning 35 thousand rupees per month.”

Shastri was surprised. He thought, “Such a simple boy. He just has a watch on his hand. No rings.”

Shastri said, “Ok. As you wish.”
