CM tries to convince Shivayya to join his party

CM was touring the district. He came to Shivayya’s house with so many cars and jeeps. Shivayya welcomed him. CM entered the house and sat down.

CM said, “I have invited you so many times but you never came. So I myself have come to you.”

Shivayya laughed. “I am not such a great man. I am just a farmer.”

“Farmers used to go to offices to get their jobs done. Now the officers from agricultural departments, banks etc are themselves coming to the villages. It is all because of your efforts.”

Shivayya laughed.

CM said, “If a man like you joins our party, the government will become very strong.”

Shivayya folded his hands. “Please don’t try to make me join politics. I have allergy towards it.”

“Yes. What you say is true. The present politics is in a rotten shape. But if we have just one person like you in hundred, we can change the whole situation.”

Shivayya remained silent. He looked at Laxmi. “I forgot to introduce my wife, Laxmi.”

“Yes. She is the daughter of Shivaram, isn’t it?”

Laxmi said, “More than that I am Shivayya’s wife.”

“That is why the whole State is waiting for Shivayya.”

He looked at Shivayya. “You have to join us. The whole State will improve with you as the leader.”

Shivayya became serious. “First we have to eliminate the political criminals.”

CM said, “That is why we are inviting you. If you come, automatically they will be eliminated.”

CM folded his hands and requested. “Please Shivayya. You should come.”

Shivayya shook his head. “Please don’t fold your hands. I will think about it.”

CM was very happy. “Thank you very much.”

Party meeting was going on.

CM said, “Shivayya is entering our party. If he comes, our party will get full majority in the next elections.”

Manohar was not at all happy. “Sir, without asking seniors like us, you are inviting him with red carpet. Are you planning to eliminate us?”

“You see, he has full backing in the whole State. Also, he is a man from your area. Just see your condition in that area. Your son has lost his deposit in the MPP election.”

One man said, “What you are saying is true. If Shivayya joins us, our party will come to power automatically. Otherwise our party will not get a single seat in Manohar and Shivaram’s jillas. They themselves will lose their deposits.”

Shivaram got very angry. “All this was pre planned. You are placing him on your head.”

CM said, “Please understand the reality. Mr. Manohar, you have been MLA and minister for 25 years. If you want your son to become MLA and minister, you need Shivayya’s support. In politics, today we may be enemies but tomorrow we have to be friends. It is just a political plan to survive. If we trap him with good words, we can form the government again.”

Manohar closed his eyes for a while. “Mr. CM, I don’t mind what happens to me. But my son should become MLA and minister in the next election. If you promise that, I will agree to have Shivayya in our party.”

CM said, “Mine is Kautilya’s tantra. We should always be in the winning stage. We have to use him that’s all.”
