Film shooting starts with Devyani

Shooting started. TV crew came to the shooting spot. Manikyam told Devyani to use ‘Anar’ as name instead of ‘Devyani’.

Producer said, “I am lucky Anar has agreed to act in this film “ANARAKALI” and that Surinder will be directing it.”

Surinder said, “I am introducing Anar, the dream girl. She was really ‘Anarkali’.”

Cameras focused on Devyani.

Press asked Devyani, “Madam, what initiated you to enter films?”

Devyani said, “Since childhood, I wanted to act in films. I am most grateful to the producer Manikyam for giving me the chance. When I read the story, I got excited.”

Laxmi and Shivayya were watching TV. Devyani’s interview appeared on TV.

Laxmi said, “That girl Anar looked just like our Devyani.”

Shivayya said, “Yes.but why should she become Devyani? She is Anar, a Muslim girl. How beautiful she is.”

Laxmi took up her mobile. “I will phone to Devyani and ask her to watch TV.”

Shivayya nodded. “Yes. Do that. It is a long time since we talked.”

Laxmi phoned to Rajiv.

Akbar (Rajiv’s real name) picked up the phone. “Hallo.”

“Hallo, Rajiv. Where is Devyani? Give her the phone.”

Akbar was watching Devyani on TV. “She is no longer with me. It is 15 days since she left me. She got spoilt because of film madness. She kept saying that she wanted to act in some film and then one day she disappeared. I am seeing her on TV just now.”

Laxmi was shocked. She put down the phone. “That Anar is really our Devyani.”

Shvayya was shocked.

Laxmi said, “She left him and went away it seems. To act in films.”

Shivayya put his hands on his head in despair and disbelief. “We can’t trust anyone.”
