Jilla Parishad elections were announced. Panchayat Raj Secretary came to meet HM and Panchayat Raj minister Naga.

Naga said, “I called you to discuss something important. I posted you to our jilla so that I can have you as my right hand.”

Panchayat secretary said, “You can ask your father about my obedience.”

Naga was pleased. “Very good. I want you to reserve the post of Jilla Parishad President for ladies.”

“That is very easy, sir. I will fix that ladies quota to this jilla.”

“Good. And don’t change it under pressure from anyone.”

“No sir. Your word is order for me. I will not change it even if the CM himself asks me to do so. It will be done in one week’s time.’

Shivayya was sitting in front of CM.

CM said, “Jilla Parishad elections have been announced. You are our candidate for your jilla.”

Shivayya said, “Let us see, sir. You might get a candidate who is better than me.”

CM was surprised. “In my many years of service, I have never seen a man like you. People fight for the post. They are even ready to kill and do back stabbing. But you are different. You have already shown it through your organization. If you become the Jilla Parishad President, your Jilla will become no. 1 in India for development.”

“Ok sir. Let us see.”

“Your wife Laxmi has resigned from the post of Mahila Morcha President. Please ask her to take it back.”

“No sir. We don’t need any post of that kind.”

He got up and left.

CM watched him leave. He thought, “I have cheated him with my good words. I played back politics with such a good man. I was helpless.”
