Laxmi worried about Devyani

Laxmi said, “It is one month since I have talked to Devyani. Whenever I phone, Rajiv only picks up the phone.”

Shivayya said, “She is just married. For some time, they forget everything.”

“Swami is worried about her. She has not written any letter to him for a long time now.’

“Don’t worry. She will phone when she feel like it. I am going to Hyderabad today. CM has called me.”

Manohar and Shivaram were sitting in CM’s chamber.

CM said, “After Shivayya has joined the party, your jillas are very peaceful.”

Manohar was serious. “Now he is more important to you. I served the party for 25 years and even helped you to become the CM. You have already forgotten all that.”

“You have not understood me. I am dissolving the assembly now. Soon there will be elections.”

Manohar and Shivayya were shocked. “How come you are dissolving the assembly so soon? There are still 6 months left.”

CM said coolly, “Don’t be shocked. If we have immediately elections, our party will come to power again.”

Shivaram asked, “How can you be so sure?”

“Because Shivayya is in our party now and the whole State is backing him. He is adopting his own methods of development through his organization in those two jillas. It is catching the attention of the whole nation.”

Manohar was not at all happy to hear this. “So you are going to make him MLA and minister, is it?”

“Shivayya is coming tomorrow. I will see what he has in mind and then discuss with you.” Said the CM.

Shivayya was sitting in front of CM.

CM said, “Shivayya, why don’t you attend the party meetings?”

“I don’t like politics so much. But you are a nice person that’s why I joined your party.”

“I am going to tell you something personal. I am dissolving the government. There will be elections in 2 months.”

“Why this sudden decision, sir?”

CM thinks for a while. “For the good. This time I want to give tickets to good people like you and build up a good government.”

“Sir, I have no intention in becoming MLA. But while giving tickets select good people. If you give ticket to Manohar and Shivaram, I will not work for your party.”

CM said, “I too have the same idea. I want to eliminate such people and form a good government.”

Shivayya was very happy.

CM continued. “I want to make you MLA. But you are refusing.”

“No sir. I am not interested. Those who won through our organization are doing good job. This is giving me a lot of satisfaction.”

CM said happily, “The whole State is waiting for you. The jobs being done through you are a wonder. PM is also thinking of adopting your policies. He is sending a team to study them. Even the foreign government is asking for a report about your policies.”

Shivayya laughed. “I am happy to hear that.”

CM said, “I am thinking of giving you Jilla Parishad President’s post. I know that you will make the jilla no.1 in India. Don’t refuse.”

“Let it be so.” He did namaskara and left.
