CM’s trick to fool Shivayya

Party candidate list was announced. Manohar and Shivaram don’t get any ticket. CM did not announce the candidate in Manohar’s constituency. Press spoke to Shivayya.

Press asked, “Sir, CM has not announced anyone’s name for MLA candidate in your area. Is that post kept vacant for you?”

Shivayya said, “Impossible. I have told him that I don’t want to become MLA. I don’t know why it is empty.”

Press said, “Maybe he is going to give it to Manohar.”

Shivayya got angry. “If he gave it to Manohar, I will resign and work against him.”

Manohar said, “Sir, in my constituency you have not put my name or my son’s name. Are you playing a game or were you planning to select Shivayya?”

CM said, “Manohar, you will not get that seat since Shivayya is objecting. If he went against us, our party will not come to power. Do you want me to give a seat to your son or not?”

“I don’t want the seat but I want my son to get it.”

“If you want it then we have to use trick. We have to make Shivayya ask for it. That was why I have kept it empty. He is coming tomorrow. I will make him agree. Not only that, I will make him ready to work for you. Now you just act as if you have surrendered to him.”

Manohar was very happy. “You are an expert in Kautilya tantra. That is why you joined party after me but you became the CM.”

“When the time came we have to catch the donkey’s legs also. We have no choice.”

Manikyam’s super star film was getting released in 3 languages.

Manikyam said happily, “Next week I am releasing our super star Raviraj’s film in 3 languages. Our real expenditure has crossed the budget given by the director.”

Dhanalaxmi was worried. “How much have you spent?”

“Around 20 cores already.”

“You have mortgaged everything. Our house, my jewels, everything.”

 

“Not just that, I have taken 10 cores loan from outside.”

Devyani was listening to all this.

Manikyam said, “I am feeling scared. But if the film is a success, I can easily return the loan. The distributors have given 50% and were saying that they will give 50% on running of the film. God is there.”

Devyani approached Dhanalaxmi. “Amma, come for lunch. Everything is ready.”

Dhanalaxmi smiled. “You prepare everything so well.”

Manikyam smiled at Devyani. “I forget all my problems when I see your face.”
