Devyani’s stops attending tailoring class

Shastri washed his legs and sat for lunch. While taking food, he kept looking at Devyani’s face. After lunch, he sat on the bed. Devyani brought pan supari for him. He wanted to ask her but he did not have the courage.

Shastri thought, “Looking at her face, I don’t feel she is of that type. I don’t have the courage to ask.”

Devyani went into her room and got ready to go to the tailoring class. Her friends come to take her. “Devyani.”

Devyani came out of the room ready to go with them. Shastri looked at her. She put on the slipper. “Papa, I am going to the tailoring class.”

Shastri tightened his face. “No my dear. From today, you don’t go to the tailoring class.”

Devyani looked at her father in surprise.

Shastri said, “I don’t like it.”

Immediately, Devyani turned to her friends. “I will not come with you. You go.”

She went to her room.

Shastri was shocked to see her so happy. He got up and went to her room. He was surprised to see her happily reading a book. He felt relaxed. He went back to bed and thought, “My daughter is as pure as 24 carat gold.”

He felt most satisfied and closed his eyes happily.

At night at 10 pm, Shivayya came home in jeep. He washed his legs and entered the house. Laxmi served rice, chicken, etc. He started eating.

Laxmi was full of sensation about the tailor and Devyani. She thought, “I must tell him about it. But he is an angry man. He might burn him.”

Shivayya looked at her. “Eh! What are you thinking about? Serve rice.”

She stared at him and then served rice. She thought, “If they run away tomorrow itself, what will happen?”

Shivayya saw the worried face of Laxmi and was surprised. “You look disturbed. What is the matter?”

Laxmi said, “Devyani…….”

Then she became quiet.

Shivayya became serious. “What? What happened to our girl? Is she sick?”

Laxmi shook her head. “No nothing like that. I will tell you later.”

Shivayya became very anxious. He got up and held her shoulders. “Tell me what happened to Devyani.”

Laxmi started telling. Hearing all this Shivayya became ferocious. He washed his hands in the plate. Then he went and took his machu (sword). Laxmi shivered and tried to stop him.

Shivayya said, “If you stop me, I will kill you first. How dare he talk about our girl like that?”

He went out. His followers started climbing the jeep.

Shivayya shouted. “Eh! You don’t come. I will go alone.”

Laxmi put her hand on her chest and thought, “Why did I tell him? Now that fellow will be no more.”

She kept looking at the direction in which he went.
