Plan to finish temple Pujari
News appeared in the paper that Oblesh had
been murdered. He and his drunken friends had a fight in which he was killed.
Oblesh’s body came to the house after post-mortem.
Manohar, Naga, Shivaram and their followers gathered in Manohar’s house.
Manohar said, “It is definitely Shivayya’s job.”
Naga said, “We should not leave him. We will arrest
him on doubt and apply 3rd degree on him through police.”
Manohar said seriously, “It is not so easy. There is
no witness for this murder. Touching him is like putting your hand inside a
generator. It will be difficult to control the 3 or 4 districts where he has so
many followers.”
Naga sat with his hands on his head. “If we just cut
his wings one by one, we will succeed in making him weak.”
One man said, “This time they are going to celebrate
Shivarathri in a grand way.”
Naga nodded. “We will start from there itself.”

Shivayya went to the temple with Laxmi. He
spoke to the pujari. Elders of the village had gathered.
One elder said, “Shivaratri is just 10 days away. We
have yet to white wash the temple.”
Shivayya said, “We will start the work tomorrow
itself.”
He looked at the pujari. “I want to celebrate
shivaratri with 3 days of harikatha.”
Pujari nodded happily. “Good.”

The temple was given white wash. 4 days were
left for Shivaratri. Pujari got a phone call from jilla headquarters.
The caller said, “Your brother in serious. He will die
anytime.”
Swami was shocked. He got ready to go to see his
brother. He met Laxmi before leaving. “Amma, my brother is serious. I have to go
home urgently. If I can’t come back on time, I will send someone to replace me.”
Laxmi nodded with understanding. “Ok. You go.”
She went into the house and brought 5000 rupees. “Keep
it. You will need it.”
Swami took the money thinking, “Godly people.”
